LIFE BETWEEN DEAD

Oaxaca - Mexico

The transition from life to death is a landmark moment that has caused admiration, fear and uncertainty to humans through history. Mexico is a country rich in culture and traditions; one of the main aspects that make up its identity as a nation is the concept they have about life, death and all the beliefs that revolve around them. The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the central and south regions, and acknowledged around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.
